TransRussia is the largest
international transport event in Russia and its neighbouring countries,
making it the perfect opportunity for exhibitors to establish their
company's presence on the Russian transport market and promote their
products and services to a large number of potential clients. As
the main event for the transport industry in Russia, TransRussia
is an event you cannot afford to miss!
Congratulations
to all those who participated in the TransRussia 2006 Exhibition
and Conference!
Over 400 companies from
more than 22 countries participated in the exhibition. In addition
to Russian exhibitors, TransRussia presented companies from Belorussia
, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Ukraine, France, Sweden
and Estonia. The exhibition also featured national pavilions from
Belgium, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.
The event was attended by
Alexander Misharin, the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian
Federation, who noted that the continued growth of the exhibition
reflects the significant progress and positive results from the
implementation of reforms in the Russian transport sector. Mr Misharin
said that TransRussia played an important part in the Federal programme:
“Modernisation of the Transport System of Russia (2002-2010).
Mr. Huber Gorbach, Austrian
Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and
Technology, also visited the event. This year Austria holds the
EU presidency, and Mr. Gorbach's presence at TransRussia 2006 emphasises
the international status of the event.
In addition to the exhibition,
more than 300 specialists participated in the TransRussia Conference.
Key topics included: the public-private partnership in infrastructure
projects, the legal environment for public-private partnership projects,
economics in railway transport in Russia, the development and integration
of Russian transport in the global infrastructure, improving foreign
trade turnover through the development of transport networks, the
development of intermodal shipments, the transit of energy resources,
international transport corridors, logistics and supply chain management.
The conference was supported
by the Euro-Asian Transport Union and Commission for Natural Monopolies
of the Russian Federation Council.
Next year's show is set to

The show was established
in 1996 and has grown steadily every year, making it a traditional
meeting point for industry professionals: transport suppliers, logistic
service providers and equipment manufacturers from all sectors of
the transport industry worldwide. TransRussia is the largest exhibition
